Land's End to John O'Groats Charity Challenge | Event Photography & Documentary Filmmaking

Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service and South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service commissioned me to provide complete visual coverage of their Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) charity cycling challenge in support of The Fire Fighters Charity. Over ten days, the team cycled the length of Great Britain, raising vital funds while demonstrating extraordinary resilience, teamwork and determination.

My role was to document the entire journey through professional photography, videography and real-time content creation, capturing every stage of the challenge from pre-dawn starts and demanding mountain climbs to emotional finishes and the camaraderie that developed along the way. Rather than simply recording the event, the objective was to create a compelling visual narrative that reflected the commitment of the riders and the impact of the fundraising campaign.

Alongside producing high-quality photo and video content, I managed the challenge's social media coverage throughout the event. Daily photography, behind-the-scenes content, rider interviews, short-form video and live updates kept supporters engaged while helping to maximise awareness, audience reach and fundraising throughout the ten-day challenge.

As a commercial photographer, documentary filmmaker and content creator, I work with charities, emergency services, public sector organisations and brands to tell meaningful stories that inspire action. Whether covering multi-day endurance events, fundraising campaigns, corporate challenges or community initiatives, my aim is to create authentic visual content that connects with audiences across websites, social media, press coverage and marketing campaigns.

This project demonstrates how professional event photography, documentary filmmaking and strategic content creation can preserve important moments, strengthen campaigns and deliver lasting value long after the event has finished.
