I’m Pete, a Peak District Photographer and Videographer based in the heart of Derbyshire, documenting people, stories, brands, and experiences in a natural and honest way. I’ve always believed the best moments are the ones that happen without forcing them, the in-between laughs, the atmosphere, the emotion, and the details you only truly appreciate later.
My style is relaxed, cinematic, and story-driven. Whether I’m photographing a wedding in the mountains, filming a charity challenge across the UK, working with brands to bring their story to life, or creating content for a business or event, my focus is on capturing things as they genuinely felt in that moment. No awkward posing, no overcomplicated setups, just real storytelling with a creative edge.
Photography for me goes far beyond digital. I have a strong passion for analogue photography and spend a lot of time shooting film and working in the darkroom. Slowing the process down, being intentional with every frame, and creating images in a hands-on way has shaped how I work today. I regularly blend film with digital photography and videography in my day-to-day work.
Videography is another creative outlet I genuinely love. Combining movement, sound, atmosphere, and emotion into a cinematic story is something I’m constantly drawn to. Whether it’s a wedding film, a brand piece, or an adventure project, I aim to create films that feel immersive and emotionally connected.
The outdoors plays a huge role in both my work and lifestyle. I spend most of my free time outside, exploring the Peak District, riding mountain roads, hiking, camping, or simply finding new places to shoot. Nature, changing weather, and adventure heavily influence how I see and create.
Over the years, photography and videography have taken me to some incredible places and introduced me to amazing people. I’ve been lucky enough to work across the UK and internationally on destination weddings, brand shoots, events, and commercial projects for companies looking to bring their story to life through authentic visual storytelling. Every project is different, and that’s what I love most, the people, the travel, and the stories.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually planning the next adventure, shooting film, working on creative projects, or out in the Peaks with a camera close by.
Outside of work, I’m into motorbikes, learning music (slowly but surely), and spending time with family and friends. Those moments away from the camera are just as important, they keep everything grounded and shape how I see and tell stories.
